55 Flash Fiction - More Synesthesia
Sudoku, 9 rows, 9 columns, 9 squares of 9, nine digits each, 81 cells, count to nine its all logic. A square with 3 missing numbers allows location of a number without any of that number being on the board. 6 cells filled, he needed 3, 5, 9, which brought to mind "olive."
How strange.

Sudoku is a complete mystery to me, but I can see you're getting the hang of it.
Enjoyed this.
I am sure it has something to do with your KG class at primary school, when the teacher asked you ; " there were 9 olives in a bowl, Charles came and ate 3 of them. How many olives were left in the bowl?" And then you answered "5", which of course was wrong, and so the teacher spanked you!
So it is subconscious association!
Mona,
Hahahaha, that's funny. I didn't attend KG, never remember any math lessons using olives in the problems, and certainly never got spanked for a wrong answer (maybe that was where they went wrong).
Anthony,
One of the reasons I enjoy some games is establishing little rules, that makes playing them easier, for myself. This particular rule is for 3 cells in a row, column, or square. I may write a post at some point on it, as it makes play faster and easier, but it isn't immediately apparent to the beginner (which I consider myself to be.)
I'm not very good at Sudoku, however I do enjoy the occassional attempt. The "olive" ...
smiles,
p.s. i enjoyed your 55
Great 55. I love how you transformed the logic of sudoku into a completley random thought.
I love it; there could be quite a story behind the story in it and I always enjoy where that takes my imagination.
Lovely 55!
interesting 55, i am not a sudoku player the concept baffles me
Very thought provoking.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
