Blogging Buddies Award
Sometimes, when things are looking darkest, things are about to get much lighter/brighter. The hours before dawn come to mind, in the most literal sense. Another time for me (I'm hoping) is the last couple of weeks. I'm seeing light peeking through from the horizon though. My post about my neighbor, my interview this morning, and now this from one of the nicest guys in the blogosphere, Top Cat.
I was quite pleased to see that after TC's very disappointing post about his wife's losing her job, that she soon was hired by someone who appreciated her for who she is and what she does (light after the dark, isn't it beautiful?). Well, he got a few more rays of light with a very well deserved award. Now he has chosen to help brighten my day (see? I told you he was nice) by awarding to me, among four others, the Blogging Buddies award.
I'm choosing five additional blogging buddies as TC did. I'm going against the precedent set though, I'm not choosing all guys.
Mona, who is a friend who does more for her friends than anybody will ever know.
SnowElf, who is friendly and accepting of others.
Lime, who wants to better the world, and is willing to make it her life's work.
Serena Joy, who just has a lot of fun with her friends.
Mike, a dad and IT guy working to make things fun and trying to connect so many of us.

Oh!
That was unexpected!
Thanks & (((HUGS)))
Mona,
Unexpected, perhaps, but well deserved. You are a valued friend to me and I'm sure to many others.
Thanks Charles! It's very cool to be your blogging buddy. I appreciate the kind words too. Thanks for being a pal and a friend.
Its an honor to be your friend. Thanks for accepting me as your friend! :)
Mike,
You're always willing to help, how could someone not consider you a friend? I really don't think I dole out kind words to the undeserving. Its my pleasure to have friends.
Mona,
I'm blessed to have you as a friend, more than any of us realizes, but I'm coming to realize just how much.
aww, thanks charles, what an unexpected and lovely surprise. :)
Lime,
You've demonstrated your friendship to me and others in ways that many may never know.
Looks like another rash of awards - good show.
cheers
charles..thank you for your kind comments and for passing this great Award along.
I love your choices, each one of them are wonderful blogging buddies in the greatest sense of the word.
Sometimes in life it appears that nothing is happening when in actuality the time is not right for the RIGHT thing to happen.
We can force things to happen but
that usually winds up creating problems and it has the potential of screwing up the right thing.

:) Thanks McEwen. Have a great week.
Thank you so much, Charles! What an unexpected surprise. And thank you for playing such a large part in making my blog fun. I'm now going to go and give some serious thought to five more people to bestow this delightful award on.
TC,
I'm glad that you approve of my choices, I'm finding that there really are some great people out there, so you can teach an old (sort of) dog, new tricks.
SJ,
You're welcome. I enjoy the humor and exercises you dole out, well... because they are fun. Sometimes we need fun (well OK, we need it all the time to offset the other things.) I know you have folks who are deserving, the hard part is trying to trim the list.
(((REALLY BIG HUGS!!)))
Now THAT's the best reason for parentheses. ;)
--snow :)
(don't mind the coat, it's FREEZING here!! (18 F))
Snow,
Back at you, kid. Hey, parenthesis are for all kinds of things, grouping to control order of operations, passing parameters to functions, interjecting thoughts, and like you and Mona demonstrate, hugging. (They make good smileys, too(here's one you can look at while lying on either side (:) .)) I didn't notice the coat, but 18* F sure makes one sound necessary, ouch. I hate cold. Me, I'm wearing shorts. I'll bet Chicago is cold, too. :D
Hey Charles, Happy Thanksgiving to you too! sorry it took so long, i've been too busy to even post anything :) anyway, i'm glad you're getting the light at the end of the tunnel, so far, i think i am too, it's starting to change for me :)
Hey, congratulations Charles :)
