55 Flash Fiction - Tim & Sal #25
"150 days in office and Obama is already faced with partisan politics, as the right-wing always does. People's lives are at stake, and these heartless jerks block all attempts to help!"
"Any group producing mouthpieces like this Limbaugh and Coulter without argument, can't truly be concerned for what is important to the people's lives, Tim."

Like I always say, politics is a dirty gamer that thrives on Human blood!
Oh, yes, politics has always been a dirty game and always will.
I think it's the type of person it attracts.
Mona,
I think you're right, they are akin to the vampire or Nosferatu, no soul, evil and blood sucking.
Anthony,
Yes, public service can attract some good people, but it is only occasionally that we see them in politics. In Obama's case, I think if he hadn't been pushed as he was by the youth of America, then he would have been pushed out by the likes of GWB, Chaney, Limbaugh, and Coulter. I can't stand the unthinking masses of dittoheads, and their willingness to believe any spin put out by the twisted.
Charles, did you happen to catch the Bill Mahr episode where he is discussing this very thing? I didn't see it, but my cousin said it was fantastic.

Snow,
No, I haven't seen Mahr in probably at least a couple of years. I didn't even know he still had a show, they don't show it here anymore (its probably too left of center for the businesses here.)
So which very thing was he discussing? You have me at a disadvantage.
You can do an internet search for Bill Maher. I don't have cable, so I watch him on the computer.
Limbaugh, Coulter, and others of their ilk are full of hate. I don't think I could live with myself if I were that hateful. I didn't like George W. Bush, but I would never have said such hateful things, like hoping he failed. I didn't think his policies would succeed, but I always hoped for the best for the country. After he was reelected, I did say I thought he would shoot himself in the foot, but I was speaking metaphorically. My prediction came true. Maybe I can be the next Sylvia Brown. I could probably fake psychic powers as well as she can.
