Regrets and Wishes
Mama, I only knew you for a short while. I remember seeing your face fewer times than I have fingers. I wish that things had been different. I wish you'd have taught me all those things that a child should know, the ones that only a mama can teach. Things could have been so different.

...and yet, one has to accept what one can't change, and also make the best of it.
I know it sounds a cliche...yet I will say again, evry cloud has a silver lining. There are pros and cons of EVERYTHING , every situation, even the most ideal ones that you can imagine...
& then ( cliche again) the grass is always greener on the other side...don't you agree?
Those who have mothers, may not have lived in ideal conditions...who knows...
Mona,
You're right on every count. But, I'm right too. Things may not have been better, although they would most certainly have been different.
