"How long will that take?"
"Several generations."
"That's all?"
"Not your generations, I meant several of ours."

This is so full of hope, even though the goal seems far.
I hope it will be sooner than surmised.
Maybe if people like you make all aware, it could be ushered in sooner than expected!
O for a time, when Mankind as a whole will co exist in peace and harmony! It would be Utopia come true!
Years ago, I read The Biological Time Bomb by Gordon Rattray Taylor.
I thought it was dull. But I should have read it again.
Seems Taylor could see it coming from way back in l969.

The Mafia will usurp the project and send us all to The Flying Island of Laputa.
& what will Mafia do with it exactly? Use it to control the world?
Then How will a Species that is supposed to be 'improved' act in favor of the Mafia ?
Will they make them into slaves like the better generation was made in the time of Moses?
Then again, how can it be guaranteed that the recombination won't re mutate into something corrupt once again?
Since Change is a permanent feature of life it is possible it might happen...
And wherever Life is , polar opposites are bound to exist in some form...
Even the Utopia if Heaven has a Hell as its opposite..
Ivan, That species is moving towards improvement has been seen since the time of Darwin...
