55 Flash Fiction - Tim & Sal #10
"Statistics dictate a birth of greatness, steerable through eugenics, thus a 'chosen people'."
"Chosen, that's good then?"
"For the species, not necessarily individuals."
"Many of the laws given were promotion of a structured society to ensure the benevolence of greatness."
"So being good promotes benevolence."
"On the contrary, it emphasizes two paths for greatness's choice."

This actually seems like a conversation from Mankind Inc.
& I am wondering if Jesus's parentage was deliberately 'chosen' as being from a single parent, & then again, was it eugenically orchestrated to be able to arrive at what it was expected to produce. So could he have been actually a 'test tube' baby , of course conceived in divine laboratory .
Chosen, good for species, not necessarily individuals. Of course its the always the larger cause which comes first & individuals might not fit in the larger scheme of things. That explains a lot of what remains unexplained for the individual.
The commandments were for the promotion of 'structured society' & structure can only stand balanced under the tutelage of polar opposites. Therefore the necessity of free will to be able to choose from the given.
What is so much important is therefore not just goodness or the ensuing benevolence as is the right balance.
