55 Flash Fiction - Tim & Sal #9
"We're your general purpose computers? Why did you make us with bodies and senses, then?"
"You needed to learn without constant supervision. Self preservation is as good as anything to encourage learning and improves the design."
"But you made us animals, with instincts and concerns other than computing."
"...And as many different goals as bodies."

Indeed, each one a unique masterpiece! Each one unpredictably and potentially viable. Each one self preserving & self healing. Each one with a constantly updating anti virus program. Each one to self destruct when he has outlived his cause in the scheme of things.
Perhaps instinct and concerns are their Life support systems. Also to set in motion their self reproduction factory before they self destruct.
Different goals and different bodies would mean multiple activity and multiplied progress in lesser time. Or rather, just the right time and in right balance...
Complex mathematical calculation it must have been on the part of The Supreme Being!
Brilliant 55ve Charles!
