55 Flash Fiction - What did I smell you say?
I had the weirdest experience driving home. I was merely paying attention to traffic, where I was in the lane and the speed was traveling.
The radio was playing, but there were DJs talking among themselves as they always seem to think we'd rather hear them. I smelled coffee as one spoke the word. Synesthesia.

Well, the fictional part of this 55 would be that it is fictional. ;)
It really happened.

hmmmm.... I guess you had to use that word in between..it was high time, & your blog was toppling over in dis balance without you having used that word...
Synesthesia... is that Artificial anesthesia?
& of, course. for one who has been drinking coffee since the age of four, one would smell it on breath, skin or whatever...
I am not surprised...
Sort of like wake up and smell the 55!!
Great job Charles...
Thanks for playing AND the heads up!

Ahhh, Charles! Have I been missing you, or is this the first time you've played in a while? How odd. I've heard of people who could smell or taste certain colours. I am not surprised that the word coffee brought that aroma to your nose. Good thing they weren't talking about a garbage dump!

I could do with some coffee myself right now!!
That happens to me too! LTNS CHarles, hope you are well and thanks for carrying on the 55 tradition!
I guess you were having a heightened experience of sensitivity...
LOL. Musta been that MJ guy.
(((HUGS)))
God Bless!
Of the late, I tried tasting some flavored ones berry blast, & cinnamon & Irish creme & vanilla mocha. I also got some added flavors for coffee from the American Dollar shop. I think its not so unbearable after all with the flavors.
Too bad you don't really have synesthesia! Nor me, presumably. Boring!!
