55 Flash Fiction - Tim & Sal #13

"So, what can you tell me about Roswell," Tim asked.

"What do you mean, 'What can I tell you about Roswell?'" replied Sal.

"You know, Roswell, New Mexico; 1947, UFO crash, government cover-up, alien lifeforms, advanced technology, Area 51, flying-saucers."

"I liked the theme song by Dido, and wish they'd have finished out the storyline."

Oh, that's a TV show or something, right? Is that what it's about?
` Alls I know is that, what's funny about 'The Roswell Incident' it is that the whole story was constructed in the eighties, rather than decades before, when this guy found debris on his land.

Hey, Mona, Shadow, Spoony, Ciara!

I have to beg to differ with the timing you're speaking of Spoony. I remember reading of it when I was 16, in a book that was probably at least 10 years old at the time. I'm 50 now, so that would put it in the mid 60s, if it wasn't older than that.

You could be right. What book was it?

Spoony,

I'd have said if I could remember the title, unfortunately, it has been (ACK!) 34 years since I read it. Best I can do is maybe point you towards the Library of Congress or an online search engine.
