The memory was perfection,
The shine and cleanliness, the smell and everything surrounding it.
All had been in place, everything working as expected. The air moving in a cooling breeze, the power was all that could be handled. A warning, and the corruption was done, nothing would be as expected.

Rest assured, it is totally and 100% fiction. For some reason I picked memory as a subject today, and look where it took me.
Besides, you'd be amazed how many times your computer's memory is corrupted, (by big name commercial software!) you usually just reboot without thinking in those terms.

Oh, nifty! I thought you were talking about some kind of corruption of the land, actually. He remembered it one way then revisited to find the effects of industry, or something along those lines. Anyway, I'm up!
