55 Flash Fiction Friday Wheels Turning

Opening the throttle, he pulled back and the front wheel rose from the ground. Towering wheelies, perfectly balanced, controlled and beautifully executed.
It was his dream to pull these one wheeled balancing acts. The other riders around him wheelied their iron horses, too.

Opening his eyes, seeing his bedroom, he knew it was a dream.

Strange.. when I started reading this I remembered how a two wheeler always reminded me of a horse & reading further I saw you say 'iron horses'...

'It was his dream to pull these one wheeled balancing acts....opening his eyes.. he knew it was a dream.'

Beautifully executed from one state to another. An expression of the thin line between dream and reality!

Excellently expressed thought. Wonderful 55 Charles. You are a Master!& You do them with a class, which is so unique of you!

I MEAN each word there.

Do you ride, Charles? Or is this a dream... or truly fiction? My brother has a 500(+?)cc bike... I sat on it right after he got it, and I was intimated. I have a 49cc scooter, and I know after my few excursions on it that I will never be able to use it for transportation. I have lingering balance issues due to a long-history benign brain tumor. But I like the idea of motorcycles. *wistful*

My 55 is up, too.

Charles...?
You secretly want to pull wheelies?
I've done a few...BUT,
Not on my Harley
And they were accidents!
Hahahaha
I like this 55 Buddy
Thanks for playing...G

Mona,
The biggest difference between a motorcycle and a horse is the horsepower, and you don't have to clean up as much after the bike. :D

Smarty,
I used to ride and find myself wanting to ride a lot more these days. I just found out yesterday that the new boss rides a 'Busa.(Excuse my drooling, please)
I've had the dream, but the other riders were pure fiction. Actually, I used to be quite good at pulling wheelies, but not as good as some I've known. I knew a guy who would pull one and turn 3 times in the parking lot, and pull onto the road while turning and ride it to the end of the street. Wistful is just the tip of that 'berg.

G,
It's not a secret, I want to pull wheelies again. I miss my RD, and would buy an R600, if I hit the lottery (gotta play to do that though(note to self, start playing the lottery)) or whatever they have evolved into. The really thrilling wheelies were the unintended ones, cold mornings with dense air, made two strokes stronger than usual. I know, you're looking down your nose at me now, I rode a rice burner. But, dang, it was fun!

Lime,
Yeah, they don't come often with a bike, but dang, they're as fun as having one, except for remembering I don't have one anymore.

Mona,
Not planning, just desiring. I could hurt myself without even getting out of bed, I've done that. I've bit my tongue to the point that the flesh gave like when you bite a piece of meat, and I've kicked myself in the shin with my heel (both hurt.) Life has no guarantees, other than ending.

Charles, I just need to tell you Happy Holiday, and thank you for being such an inspiration to me.
You probably didn't know that.
But you and Top Cat both have gave me so much faith and belief in myself.
So........Thank you.

LW,
I don't see myself as particularly inspirational, but I do try to encourage people, I know how hard it is when others have tried to stand tall, by stepping on others. They'll never be any better than they feel, and as long as they choose to put others down they'll never feel any good. You on the other hand, have tried to stand tall on your own, so you can feel good about that, and you can be as good as you feel. Stand tall, take the high road, do the right thing, feel good about it. Oh, and rock on.

` Why thank you, Charles! It's nice to know I'm not a dream! XD
` BTW, my neighbor is the big-time chef at Iron Horse Casino. In fact, he was just up here unwrapping some presents with us. I GOT SOCKS!! YAY!!!!

S E E Quine,
I just wanted it to be perfectly clear, since you stated "I was only a dream...." (see above)

SOCKS! I guess in the cold northern climes, such things are more highly valued than they are here. I'm not familiar with the Iron Horse Casino (in fact we have a Seminole Casino here that I've never been in) but it sounds like he must be special.

Hi Sara, Snow, Jessica, SJ, and All,
I got to see my wonderful daughter on Christmas, so I count that as a great Christmas. It might be the last time, for a long time, since she's thinking of moving up north to pursue her dreams. I'm hoping things go well for us all, and it won't be too long, though. Love to all.

Hm, I've always wanted to be able to do perform cool stunts on a bike (amongst other cools things that I've always wanted to be able to do) but I'm scared of:
* killing myself
* damaging my ride and having to pay up lots of $$
* making a fool of myself

Not necessarily in that order!
