55 Flash Fiction - New Day Coming
The desk was clean and neat, the office spacious enough, matters at hand would be handled efficiently.
Hand picked staff, some of the best that could be had, dedicated to the work, would handle the details of things.
There was a lot to be accomplished, to fix things left shambled.
Day one, a new president.

Its coming, its coming, all too soon... I know how impatient everyone is feeling :D
Before we can say 'Uncle' the change will be there before us :)
A new broom sweeps clean eh?
Good one.
Mine's up too.
As far as my own feelings, I don't think it could happen fast enough, if it had been years ago.
Akelamalu,
Let's hope its a very clean sweep.
Very good, Charles.
Not a moment too soon, I agree!
it's been a bad 8 years but i am cynical enough not to believe the next 4 will be any better. especially if it comes down to mccain vs hillary...*shudder
Lime,
It may not be, it could be McCain v Obama. I'm just ready for someone less pigheaded than the one we have now. One willing to clean up the mess that's been made while the present one's head has been buried in the sand.
Personally, I think that Hillary isn't too awful, she was the one who was trying to get better healthcare for everyone, something blocked by the Republicans who now tout the idea as if they came up with it.
I feel SOOOOOOOOOOO sorry for our new president! Yikes...you couldn't pay me enough for that job.
Have a good wknd ;o)
An excellent 55, Charles, with a most timely message.:)
Jillie,
I think its a mix of good and bad, getting the position, and it can be used for both. My hope is that its used for the good of all, instead of the good of one family or one party, or one anything, except for the good of one world.
SJ,
Thank you, very much.
WHEN?????
OH God When???!!!!!
I see you played Charles, Very upbeat AND very well written. I liked it a lot...G
Thanks for the sound card advice too..
It was very appreciated!!
G-Man,
Yes, I guess I failed to do the notification, that's totally my fault. Thanks for saying that it's very well written. I'm looking forward to a change, and this gives me hope.
You're welcome for the advice.
Soon, Charles...very soon! ;)

Snow,
It can't happen soon enough for me. This economy isn't getting healthier, and a lot of people can be put on the street in a very short amount of time, certainly sooner than we can get a new president elected, which is sooner than we can get one into office. When our economy suffers, the world's economy suffers. When the world's economy suffers, people suffer, and some die.
