55 Flash Fiction - Mickey's Drink
It was a twist, and he hadn't expected it. The very smell of it. He could taste it, surely as if it had been larger than life. He recognized the yellow tint in his drink the beautiful waitress, who had now disappeared from the restaurant, had served him. She didn't wait for a tip.

Have a great weekend Charles.
I do not have 55 but I do have HNT!
Well done, Charles -- with a flourish and a twist.
hey Charles... NYD has been writing 55ves since last friday and we didn't even know...
Mona, S, SJ,
Haven't you ever received a glass of water with a twist of lemon? Stay tuned, it always seems nothing is ever as it seems.
Mona,
I'll have to check out NYD's blog.
` Mmm! Lemon!
S E E Quine,
Yeah, lemon is refreshing and hides the taste of some otherwise foul water.
` Foul water! What a wonderful thing! I've seen water (and smelled it across the room) that breaks washing machines and puts rust stains on plates and white deposits in glasses. And I've drank it - and boy is it strong!
` Personally, I think if water's going to be foul, it should at least be 80 proof!
S E E Quine,
If its 80 proof, is it still considered water? If it is, why do we still have DUI laws?
` Hypocrites!
Hm, I wonder where this is going. And lucky for me, I come in at a time where there are already 5 parts up, so I don't have to wait.
By the way, this is a cool new way to use the FF55 medium!
NGAC,
I wrote this one first, and after a few minutes thought of the others, and it made me laugh, so I wrote them all at one sitting, within a few minutes, and have been posting one a week since.
